Talking about their pots specifically
- Caral–Supe civilization
MrPots's latest · 2026-11-04★★★Pre-ceramic = No pottery!!! Still, their statuettes reveal the kiln in their heart, meant for the pots.
- Valdivia culture
MrPots's latest · 2026-11-04★★★★★Wow… just so poignant. Out from the cradle of pottery endlessly rocking.
- Paracas culture

- Wari culture
MrPots's latest · 2026-11-04★★★★Hello handle spouts! Face pots are quite fun, especially how they protrude from the main vessel body. If I were to call one pre-Incan culture’s pottery “accessible”, it would be these guys.
- Moche culture
MrPots's latest · 2026-11-04★★★★★Absolutely phenomenal pottery. Out of all things to make me laugh and full of delight in a museum its these folks.
- Nazca culture
MrPots's latest · 2026-11-04★★★★★Pretty good pottery. Amazingly decorated pots, but leaves room to explore stylistically (see Moche culture). Still, the thick lines and flat designs really recall Keith Haring, which is shocking given the time difference. So cool! The double spouted pots are here, and they are awesome!
- Lima culture
MrPots's latest · 2026-11-04★★★★★An amazing fusion of Moche-like and Nazca-like pottery: sculptured pots and practical pots. You can’t tell me that pot with the dude and the dogs isn’t the best thing you’ve ever seen.
- Inca Empire
MrPots's latest · 2026-11-04★★★★★Gorgeous, intricately designed geometric pots, a profoundly beautiful movement from more concrete images to abstract depictions and pure shapes. If a ballpoint pen was an Andean pot, it would for sure come from the Incan empire.
