People-watching

it’s beautiful how we all stumble through the exact same streets, totally lost in our own thoughts while completely crossing paths. we look out at the crowd and it hits us like a wave–every passing face is the star of their own massive, complicated blockbuster story that you will never get to see. we catch a two-second glimpse of a stranger laughing at a text or looking completely lost in thought, realising they have an entire lifetime of memories, heartbreaks, and dreams tucked away inside them, and it is deeply poetic to think about it. it’s also humbling that even though we are all completely wrapped up in our own heads, we are ultimately all in the same boat sailing through the same beautiful life. I love people watching sm, it gets to remind me that I’m just a human after all
