this star rating is for the medical condition as a plot device in a horror novel based on real life. the aorta is already a pretty ghastly concept (there's just ONE BIG TUBE going down the middle of the body?) but the fact that, reportedly, it literally feels like tearing deep within your body makes my skin crawl. very creative form of injury
