Coffee table

both unnecessary and also profoundly essential. walks a fine line.

would like to have one but walking around it to get to my couch seems like a lot. could be fun to stack some books and magazines on

A solid place to put a remote or a drink, however, not a good way to stretch your legs if you're sitting on the couch, It is kind of hard and uncomfortable to rest your feet on it.
