Annapurna

When I went on a long trek along the Annapurna Circuit a few years ago, I had an almost religious experience standing beneath that giant, imposing structure. Despite its overwhelming presence, which you can never quite escape, it still seems to possess such compassion and gentleness, like an old guardian who has been meditating for centuries. It was one of the few moments in my life when I truly experienced love.
