Definitely the underdog of the core three holidays, but for me it hasn't really clicked too awful much. For starters I'm not a fan of much of the food; turkey is the most mid, bland meat of them all, mashed potatoes and stuffing are fine but I can only tolerate so much of them, and I'm not a casserole guy at all (but those rolls are the fucking bomb, I will say that). Also this holiday in particular is best enjoyed with family, and almost all of my family lived on the opposite side of the continent from where we were, which meant the vast majority of my childhood was filled with very quiet and boring, almost sad Thanksgivings. Then again, it is one of the more sincerely meaningful holidays of them all, as even if you don't have a large family to spend it with and can only spend it with one or two people, it makes you really rethink how important those people are in your lives, and how lucky you are to have them in your life, or anyone at all. It also does this more earnestly than Christmas or Valentine's Day, which are so commercialized and focused on spending money to prove your love/care for people. So while I find Thanksgiving to be a mixed bag, it does leave you with a lot to reflect on. And also for some reason I really like playing Wii Sports baseball every Thanksgiving, so that always puts it up a notch.
